What is linking an application?

When starting a building control application, you can choose to use any of the same  site location, applicant details, agent details and location plan information from a related planning application that you have submitted using the Planning Portal. This saves time entering information and provides an easy reference later.

If you choose to link an application you will need to know the reference number of your submitted planning application, for example PP-123456.

If you choose not to link an application, you will simply enter the name, site details and upload any necessary documents in the usual way. Please note, you can only link applications within your account.
