The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (Amendment and Consequential Provisions) (England) Order 2014 (“the Order”) amends the Town and Country (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 (“the General Permitted Development Order”) to allow new permitted development rights for change of use and, in some cases, for associated operational development. These changes will simplify the change of use system and promote the provision of new homes, nurseries and schools in England. The Order also makes consequential amendments to the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) England Order 2010.
