Users can submit applications for building regulations approval on the Planning Portal. The facility allows homeowners and professionals to submit applications to an approved inspector or local authority of their choice.
As well as completing a short form online, the applicant can also attach supporting documents and pay their fees if they want to.
In order to receive building control applications, Approved Inspectors need to register to be included in our Approved Inspectors directory. The directory service is prominently sited in both the application and guidance process, allowing users to select who they wish to apply to.
