The Planning Inspectorate
Appeals are managed and determined by the Planning Inspectorate1. The Planning Inspectorate is an executive agency sponsored by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.2
In addition to appeals, the Planning Inspectorate handles national infrastructure planning applications, examines local plans, and other planning-related and specialist casework in England and Wales.
