Introduction to appeals

Appeals are managed and determined by the Planning Inspectorate¹. The Planning Inspectorate is an executive agency sponsored by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.²

In addition to appeals, the Planning Inspectorate handles national infrastructure planning applications, examines local plans, and other planning-related and specialist casework in England and Wales.
