Working together
The Planning Portal team are busy planning our first Local Authority Roadshow for two years, where we will host events around the country. It would be great for you to join us; face-to-face, interacting and networking, we can’t wait to see you!
Throughout the past two years during the pandemic, we have seen an unprecedented increase in the number of online applications submitted and we have also re-platformed our application service.
The events will be a great opportunity to catch-up and present our future plan of new products and ideas. More importantly it’ll be an opportunity to listen to you and hear your feedback, discuss any issues, what you want to see and how we can improve our service.
We want to make the events interactive and driven by you, so if you have something you want us to talk about, please let us know1.
You can expect to see more of the finer details very soon, but for now please register as soon as possible for a location that suits you. This is a free event so places do get booked up very quickly!
Please note, this event is for Local Authorities in England.
The remaining event dates and locations are:
- Leeds: Leeds City Council, Merrion House – 5 October
- Durham: Durham County Council, County Hall, Durham – 6 October
- NEW VIRTUAL Event on Wednesday - 12 October
Registration
We recommend you register quickly as spaces are limited to two per authority. When registering please use your Local Authority email address.
You will receive an email confirmation with venue details and the agenda within two working days of booking your place.
The event will mainly cover the planning application service, although building control application service is included in our future plan. We recommend sending two attendees from your authority to find out what’s new, network with other authorities and ask any questions on the services we provide. Don’t forget, its free to attend with lunch included, so be sure not to miss out.
The events
The events will start at 10am (with registration open from 9:15am) and finish by 2pm at the latest.
Another change for this year is that we are reaching out to Local Authorities to ask us a question. You have the opportunity to put your question to us in advance as part of the online registration. We will collate and answer all questions at the events.
