What is the Joe's Blooms biodiversity tool?
With Joe’s Blooms’ web tools1, planning applicants can easily check for and fulfil their biodiversity obligations. From 12 February 2024, the government is introducing new biodiversity net gain requirements for most planning applications in England. Our easy-to-use web tools guarantee your project’s statutory compliance, streamlining the planning process whilst helping you to make cost-effective and environmentally friendly decisions.
What does the service do?
Our easy-to-use service lets you:
- Find out which requirements apply to your specific site or project
- Streamline the process of surveying your site
- Discover possible options for compliance and assess their cost and effectiveness through our simple step-by-step-step process
- Automatically generate the mandatory documents your planning application needs, tailored to your project and guaranteed to be statutorily compliant
As the obligation to specify biodiversity net gain in planning is completely new, we understand that the requirements may not be the easiest to understand or navigate. That’s why Joe’s Blooms1 will be offering regular online training sessions to showcase how the new system works, what the rules require and what steps you need to take to comply.
