Other considerations before you start work
Introduction
There are a number of issues in addition to those directly connected to the planning and building control regimes that you should consider before starting work.
Even if your development does not require planning permission, it may be liable to pay the Community Infrastructure Levy1.
Despite your work being granted planning permission (or being covered by permitted development rights) and complying with building regulations you may also still require additional permissions2 for your proposals.
A planning consultant may help with the smooth running of your project and guide you on your plan’s consent requirements. To find an accurate consultancy quote, explore Studio Charrette's calculators3.
