Making an online building control application

Making a building control application

This guide can be used to support you when making a building control application through our Building Control Portal

Users registered with a Planning Portal account can create and submit building control applications online by visiting www.planningportal.co.uk1 and selecting ‘Log in’ from the top-right of the screen.

Submitting applications online helps to facilitate a quicker and more responsive service. The service is provided so that all parts of an application can be completed and submitted electronically.

You will be presented with a welcome screen, showing the route to access planning and building control applications. Choose building control to start or access a building control application.

If you don’t have a Planning Portal account, you can register by visiting www.planningportal.co.uk/app2 and selecting ‘Register for an account’.
