Where to get approval

Registered building control approvers are companies or individuals authorised under the Building Act 1984 to carry out building control work in England and Wales.

The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) is responsible for deciding all applications for registered building control approver status. You can find out more about the BSR's role (including how to apply to become a registered building control approver) on the government website¹.
