Planning Permission

New regulations came into force on 30 September 2013, which changed the building work which can be done without needing to apply for planning permission. Find out more about permitted development rights in Wales on the Welsh Government's website.

Maintenance of fascia such as replacement or painting generally does not require planning permission.

However, if you live in a listed building or designated area (conservation area, national park, area of outstanding natural beauty) you should check with your local planning authority before carrying out any work.
