Sustainability schemes and grants

Great British Insulation Scheme (formerly known as ECO+)

The Great British Insulation Scheme aims to improve energy efficiency in low-income and vulnerable households. You can also apply if your home is in Council Tax bands A-D in England or A-E in Wales and your home has an Energy Performance Certificate rating of D-G.

The scheme allows for one type of insulation to be installed in your home such as a cavity wall, loft or roof insulation for free or at a discounted price depending on the work being done.

The level of funding is decided by the energy companies who work alongside third-party suppliers to complete the installations. The energy company you work with does not have to be the same as your energy provider.

You can find more details on the Ofgem website1 or you can apply via the government website2
