Home Upgrade Grant

Some local authorities have been given funding to provide energy efficiency and low carbon heating upgrades to households in England. If homes within the designated areas are:

  • low income;
  • do not use a gas boiler as their main heating system;
  • have an Energy Performance Certificate between D and G,

then they may be eligible for the grant.

The grant can pay for insulation, heat pumps, electric radiators and other energy-efficient upgrades to your home. These are organised and paid for by the council.

You can find out whether your local authority received funds by checking the government website1 or contacting your local authority.
